Kanye West Takes DONDA Music To Roc Nation

Kanye's design and content team will now be managed by Jay Z's Roc Nation.

Kanye West and his creative team at DONDA have formed a new partnership with Roc Nation,

to oversee his musical endeavors. On Monday (March 3), a press release confirmed that Jay

Z's Roc Nation would now manage DONDA Music, with a focus on Yeezy's international tours

and releases.

Kanye launched the company back in 2009 when he collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a

footwear collection, and in 2011 DONDA designed the packaging and tour for Jay and

'Ye's Watch the Throne album.

The company, named after Kanye's mother Donda West, also designed the latest Nike Air

Yeezy sneakers, collaborated with A.P.C. on clothing last year and, of course, designed the

artwork and marketing campaign for Yeezus. They will also be responsible for working on

Kanye's new Adidas line that will debut in the fall.

Outside of Kanye's own projects, DONDA has designed for artists that include Lil Wayne and

Pusha T. Weezy gave the team creative control of the cover art for his album I Am Not A

Human Being II, and Pusha did the same for My Name Is My Name.

It seems unlikely that this new partnership will affect the rapper/producer's G.O.O.D. Music

imprint, which is currently housed under the Def Jam umbrella.
