Rick Ross Stops Teasing Mastermind And Drops Album Early

Rick Ross wasn't originally planning to drop

his Mastermind album until Tuesday, but after

offering up a full stream on iTunes last week the MMG CEO bumped his release date,

debuting

the LP one day earlier, on Monday (March 3).

"What means the most to me is just the reaction from my supporters and from my fans," Ross

told MTV News days ahead of the release. "I just reflect on Port of Miami and through every

project, and here I am. So they mean the most."

"I'm really focused on making sure we execute this roll out and make sure everybody knows

what's going on and everybody feels a part of this," he added, "Because this is one of my most

passionate bodies of work."

Singles from the anticipated project include "The Devil is a Lie," with Jay Z, "War Ready" with

Jeezy, and "Nobody," with French Montana and Diddy.

The latter track includes a sample of the Notorious B.I.G.'s "You're Nobody (Til Somebody Kills

You)," which Ross says took on a whole new meaning after he became the target of a drive-by

shooting in Florida, in January 2013. He debuted a video for the song last week, and the

Christopher Sims-directed visual begins with a reenactment of the shooting incident.

When Rick Ross pays a visit to "RapFix Live" on Wednesday at 4p.m., he'll take time to break

down his album track-by-track, and take us through the emotional video for "Nobody." Ross will

be joined by DJ Khaled live in the studio, while Big Sean and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League will tune in

to share their experiences working on Mastermind.

Watch Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and Big Sean on "RapFix Live" Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT on MTV Jams and on RapFix.MTV.com. Join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive and send your questions for the artists to @MTVRapFix.
