RDX is pleased with reception for their single 'Lose Yourself'

With their 'Lose Yourself' collaboration with Major Lazer and Moska getting almost half a million views on YouTube in two days, RDX's Renigade says these types of collaborations are positive for the Jamaican music industry.
Speaking with RocYouFM's news team recently, Renigade said the song was recorded in March last year and the video was shot a few months ago. He explained that Major Lazer did a remix of their song Jump previously and that's where the link was made.
"So the association started from that time and we recorded Lose Yourself around that time. When they came to do the video, it was a nice vibe. Our energy kinda mesh because RDX represents high energy, and Major Lazer represents high energy," he said.
However, this is not RDX's first taste of electronic dance music (EDM) as they previously did Go Hard OrGo Homewith EDM group South Rakkas, and it continues to do well in Poland, Russia, and Italy.
"We are definitely open to new music forms. Venturing into other forms of music is nothing new to us," Renigade told RocYouFM's news team, noting that RDX had an R&B song called Touch 101 and is currently working on a reggae album called Soul Poetry.
With well over 400,000 views over a mere two day-period, Renigade said he is very pleased with the reception and is looking forward to more.
"I am very pleased and we are optimistic that it will put RDX into a sphere that we haven't been before. We are monitoring it," he said.
Although the song isn't completely dancehall, Renigade said he wants "the straight-up dancehall fans to take a look at the video".
