Rick Ross is taking the high road when it comes to 50 Cent. The G-Unit rapper and entrepreneur appeared to be attempting to start beef with Rozay when he implied on Instagram that the Maybach Music boss andDiddy are gay lovers.
Fiddy posted a photo of Ross and Diddy face-to-face, within kissing distance, on Sunday with the caption "something ain't right." But rather than retaliate, sources close to Ross tell TMZ he won't be responding to the perceived diss, adding that he thinks 50 Cent is "irrelevant."
The two rappers have been at odds since 2009 over a series of lyrical barbs. He recently told HuffPost Live that, while he and Fif aren't exactly on good terms, he hopes to put the past behind him. "At the end of the day, it’s all about chess," Ross told host Marc Lamont Hill. "When you don’t have nothing to lose, like I didn’t at that point, it really ain't matter."
Fif, meanwhile, seems determined to go to battle with somebody. Earlier this week, he got in the face of veteran industry executive Steve Stoute at a New York Knicks game in Madison Square Garden. Cameras captured their intense body language, but not their exact words. It's likely 50 was responding to Stoute's recent comments on the radio that the rapper's influence in hip hop is waning.
