Dr. Dre and Beyonce now rank higher than Oprah Winfrey on Forbes' list of the most influential celebrities.
The rapper and businessperson scored huge over the last year with his $3 billion sale of Beats by Dr. Dre to Apple. His $620 million take from that sale made him the biggest earner of the year.
Bon Jovi was the second highest veteran artist, coming in at 13 on the strength of grosses from their latest tour.
Overall, eight veteran music artists (and, yes, we're counting Will Smith with his earliest incarnation with DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince) made the top 100.
The Forbes annual list ranks stars from movies, TV, sports, music, books and modelling based on income from June 1, 2013 to June 1, 2014 and fame as measured in a variety of ways including mentions in media and in impact on culture score.
