Cher says It's hard to say goodbye

Cher is struggling with the idea of saying goodbye 'forever' to the stage.

The 68-year-old pop star is currently on her Dressed To Kill farewell tour.

But as the days tick down until her final show this fall, she admits the idea of giving up performing on stages around the world is a hard pill to swallow.

'Had great fun tonite!' she tweeted after performing in San Jose, California Tuesday night. 'Great audience... Its hard to Say goodbye 4 Ever?,' she wrote (sic).

The Dressed To Kill trek marks Cher's first time hitting the road for a major tour in nearly a decade.

She previously appeared to be on her way to retirement with Living Proof: The Farewell Tour, which ran from 2002 to 2005.

She followed that up with a residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which ran from 2008 to 2011.

The If I Could Turn Back Time hitmaker has been busy promoting her album Closer to the Truth, her first release since 2001, and is currently scheduled to play shows across the US and Canada, wrapping up the concert series in Wichita, Kansas in November.

Despite facing the completion of her final tour, the pop star recently insisted she's still got all the moves, and can even fit into her famous fishnet bodystocking from the music video for her 1989 hit.

'A friend said to me that a woman is sexy while she can still put on her stockings," she told UK newspaper The Sun recently, musing, 'I thought, 'I can do better than that, I can still put on my body stocking'. They'll probably even dress me in it when I'm dead."
