Lucy Hale was 'crushing so hard' while filming Pretty Little Liars.
The actress has recently released her second single Lie a Little Better and confesses that she penned it with someone special in mind.
The 25-year-old was inspired by someone on the set of the hit drama. What's more, while Lucy is working hard to not drop hints and expose the mystery man, she has opened up to how he made her feel.
'In life, in general I'm not one to fall to pieces over a guy or give up anything; I'm very headstrong,' the singer told MTV News.
'I'm very focused on what I do and very independent, but there was this certain guy that I was acting like an idiot around.
'I was fumbling over my words, I was stuttering, I couldn't focus. I couldn't look him in the eye. I was just crushing so hard on him.'
Claiming that her country single 'hits extremely close to home', the actress explained that she spent two years smitten with the guy in question.
'So it's just kind of a funny way to say that sometimes you just have to cover it up, sometimes you have to lie a little better,' she explained.
While the identity of the lucky man is being kept under wraps for the time being, the brunette songstress admitted that it might not be a secret forever.
'If the song does really well, maybe I'll tell him,' she joked.
Lie a Little Better is the latest number taken from her debut album Road Between.
