The big man behind it all, Birdman, finally spoke on the recent Tyga situation between the rapper and label. There has been a lot of controversy coming out of Cash Money/Young Money Records amongst their artists Tyga and Drake.
Too add on to the uneasiness, rapper Lil Twist complained about his management and singer Jay Sean recently left the label. What originally fueled the fire was Tyga saying Drake is “fake;” which resulted in a member out of the OVO camp replying with a “diss” that contained similar claims.
Birdman stopped by HOT 97’s “Funk Flex Show” with Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug to set the record straight. They discussed an array of topics regarding the beef, touching down on Tyga’s new song – a track that some people are calling a Drizzy diss – to the company policy… Information that came with a warning,
Birdman warns the West Coast rapper, “Either you’re in or you’re out. If you’re out, you’re an outcast.” He adds, “You’re either with us or you ain’t… You’re either in or your out… ” but also makes sure to say he still has “respect” for Tyga.
“We one gang, ain’t no separating that. You’re either with it or you ain’t, you got to choose one side.” He ends with, “I wanted to be like… f*ck with Tyga. Drake and Nicki, that’s family. Either you’re with it or you ain’t… Ain’t nothing going to change that.”
