DEEJAY Maestro Don has been getting some attention on radio with You a My Gal (produced by Drumma Battalion) and Caan Believe Yuh Gone.
The 20-year-old is from Portmore, St Catherine. He told this column that that is where he got into music.
"I was at Waterford Primary when I developed a passion for singing. However, it wasn't until I went to Kingston College that I adopted my own style of composing songs. After leaving (KC) I decided to do music full-time," said Maestro Don, whose real name is Jason Dunn.
His first single, Caan Buy Me Out, was produced by Akeem Richards, a classmate at KC.
Pointing to Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer and singer Freddie McGregor as his biggest musical influences, Maestro Dunn has recorded in recent times for various producers including Cash Flow Neil, Xxxtreme Arts, Warrior Chief Productions, Quik Keyz and Kevstar Records.
